Based on all the detailing threads I've read in the last month, you should just have to wave a Zaino covered cloth over the hood and say "abracadabra"....

Now that is the funniest thing I have seen all week!

If the swirls are moderate to severe, I'd recommend having the vehicle's exterior professionally detailed by a reputable detailer. Using an orbital buffer and and abrasive polish (sometimes the only way to remove tough swirls) can be a tricky proposition. There is, after all, a fine line between removing the swirls and screwing up your paint job permanently--particularly if you don't know what you're doing. Also, unless you borrow the equipment, it won't be cheap. Professionally detailing your car may set you back a couple hundred bucks but you'll likely make up that cost in the sale.
If the swirls are minor, try Meguiars Cleaner Wax and a nice microfiber towel.
