steering wheel

What's the best cleaner to use on a leather steering wheel? I've been curious to know if it will need any kind of leather lotion or will it be okay without it. I know that leather seats will dry out over a period of time without the lotion I was just wanting to know if it was the same for the steering wheel. Thanks

Yes it is! Sun, heat, oils and soil from hands are all very hard on the leather on the steering wheel!

I would advise getting a steering wheel cover. They will save your steering wheel for you. I have a Gators one, but I saw a really nice Ford racing one today that you could probably pick up for $30-40. If you want to say without one, definitely treat it with leather cleaner and conditioner. Everything in your interior could use a nice treatment!

I use Meguiar's Gold Class Leather Wipes for my steering wheel. Cleans great and lasts long without the excessively greasy feel you get from Armor All's leather wipes.
