Spotless Engine Bay?

I used to use tire foam under my hood every time I washed my car. I would spray it on before washing the outside so any over spay would be taken care of when I washed. Always looked pretty good and never had any problems. Engine still looked brand new after 5 years. The stuff also works pretty good in the fender wells to keep them black.
Its not necissarily a bad thing but how clean does it look like with silicone on it? Pics?
Here's the post I made a couple of months ago.

I have been using ICE Spray Detailer in there with good effect. It leaves a nice finish on the plastic bits and obviously works well on the painted surface. I usually use a micro fibre towel for any and all of my cleaning.
+3 on the Adam's In & Out Spray.

Sorry for not answering guys I have been gone for the last week.
I do use the Adams In and Out but not the Adams Branded version. I actually buy it direct from the people that make it for Adam and get it at about half the cost of what Adam charges.
Here is a link to the site. I buy it by the case since it is cheaper that way.

And then on this page it is about the 5th item down.
