So I peeled the sun visor decals off.....

And now I'm left with these ugly rectangular glue stains on my new 13 GT. Wish I hadn't done that.

Anyone know how to get these stains off??

How about getting the visors off to attempt to clean them? No screws where the main bracket attaches to the headliner. So not going to even go there. But when you pivot the visors to the side windows, they slide back and forth, but seem to have a stop. If I could get them to move past that stop, then they would slide right off and I could degluify them on my work bench. Any thoughts in that direction?
Thanks!

Degluify. That's the new word for the day. Everyone has to use that in a sentence.

If you cant get the adhesive off, put something back over it. I was thinking of putting velcro over the stickers so I can stick stuff like remotes up there.

I would just try to get some goo-gone or other adhesive remover and just try to carefully get it off without removing them.

You should have done some searching or asked questions before you removed those. You're pretty much screwed I believe. Keep us posted if you get the glue off but I don't know a way without ruining the material. I've seen threads on this before with the same results.

Al's right. I tried taking the sticker off my 00 only to discover that the sticker was on there for a reason. The visor material is to fragile to try to use any solvents on. I ended up replacing my visors lets just say.

I tried also on my wife's old Pontiac where her retard ex stuck a decal of his lame no talent band and it was the same result. The material in her car was even more durable btw.

Point is, leave then alone now. You will destroy them. Get a cd sleeve or something similar.

Btw not sure what color your visors are but my 00 is medium parchment. The solvents literally disintegrated the coloring and left white stains. It looked like crap! I can only imagine what goo gone might do to charcoal or similar colors.

Thanks for the replies everyone. I guess I'll try to cover them with something. Not the end of the world. Thanks for the heads up on solvents too. Won't go there.

My wife told me I looked like a tweaker trying to peel those suckers off. It wasn't easy I tell ya, and they don't come off in one piece!

Local interior places could probably do it pretty cheap. I had my whole interior re done for 60. And I got the sticker removed.

Probably a stupid idea but I suggested to amustangrocks to make leather visor covers with matching stitch like they do on their other pieces. No response but would be a cool way to cover the stickers if doable.

I pulled the stickers off my '05 and '06 Mustangs and it worked good with a little heat and patience. But once I got my '13, I noticed that the sun visors seemed to be made of a different material (and it looks like a heat transfer sticker rather than just straight glue) that looked like it would be pretty much be a PITA to try and remove them... At some point, I'll probably get them redone or something... Depends on how much it ends up bothering me... LOL

Lol how many people do you think know of/or have a dollar tree store near them besides you? I've never heard of the dollar tree store myself.

Hahaha I just did a search and there's 49 stores in a 25 mile radius WOW who knew, not me lol
