Since our back seats aren't really leather..

I'm still curious if this is true. We bought an 01 Taurus SEL that had "Leather Buckets" The back seat surfaces were still leather though. Same on my F150 and my SHO. On our 04 Exploder the first and second rows are leather but the third row is vinyl, which the window sticker verified.
Anyone know for sure that has some documentation to back it up? Karpro?

Can anyone say definitively which parts of the front seats are leather and which are not? I gather that the rear seats are completely vinyl.

Sure look and feel like leather and I have been using leather treatment on them with no issues. I don't ever recall reading any literature from FORD stating they were not leather.

On my '03 GT, only the seating surfaces (the parts of the seat that comes in contact with your body) on the front seats were leather. I had heard that the '05's were the same, but I don't know for sure.

Most middle of the road vehicles only have leather seating surfaces. I really don't mind it as long as the vinyl was done nice and it comes close to matching. I'm pretty sure the backseat sirface of the Mustang is also leather. Someone posted that it was entirely vinyl but I do not believe it to be true...not on a $30K car....not on a Mustang.

Not sure how it works for the 05. I would assume that the rears are vinyl, at least for the non ICAP versions. I know my ICAP interior rear seats sure feel like leather.

The only leather on a leather equiped Mustang are the flat surfaces of the FRONT SEATS (what you sit on, what your back leans on). The rest of the front seat trim is vinyl.
END OF STORY. Complaints??? Talk to Ford.
And Dan....I agree with the Vinylex treatment. I've also tried Zaino's leather care 'cause the bottle says it can go on vinyl as well. Either of these two solutions aren't greasy and leave the vinyl nice and soft.

REally?? The back seat of my '05 are vinyl!? I've been using Meguiar's Leather Wipes on all my seats. They had me completely fooled. I thought they were all leather! Are ya sure, man??

my ICAP interior seating surfaces are leather....front seats and back seats. The rear seat seating surfaces are made of the same material as the fronts. They sure do smell like leather, too....front and back.
