i was at a dealership today they had a windveil blue V6 with no upgrades at all but on the very bottom of the front bumper there were tons of scuff marks it looked like it came off a curb or truck wrong you cant see it by looking at it you ill have to look more under the bumper but will you get a cheaper price for telling the dealer about that?{if you were to buy it}, im trying to find a V6 with IUP but no luck yet :bang:

Yeah, you have to get lucky to find a V6 with IUP, it's gotta be one of the first off the line, it may be months before they make another V6 with IUP.

This isn't the first report of damage, likely coming from the car transporter. If my GT comes in this week, I will definately look it over carefully for damage under the rocker panels and the front and rear bumpers. I'd be willing to bet the dealer will sell the car at sticker and the person who buys it won't find the damage until after its too late.

I think I heard the V6 IUP will start back up late Nov, Early Dec. With that in mind, it will be close. Remember, they shut down for two weeks during the holidays.

Well, it shouldn't be too late, since the car is under warranty. Just take it in and ask for it to be repaired.

You are correct, it really isn't too late, but who wants a new car with any paint repairs on it? I would be very disappointed if I bought it and later noticed damage underneath. If the one I ordered comes in this week with any paint damage, I'll forgo delivery, especially since the dealer I'm buying from contracts out all their body work.

If its something minor like that it is easy to properly fix, with nothing to worry about. Dealers have insurance policies that cover lot damage. Just make sure everything is fine before you leave with it, if it is brought up prior to delivery it is a piece of cake to have it delt with. If you come back 2 days with a door ding you did not see it could be another matter. I wouldn't concern myself with minor damage on plastics or dings that can be removed paintlessly. I do NOT like the idea of bent metal that needed physical repair, I would skip that.

you dont want the dealer doing body work, all the very good shops are off-site.
