Scratch X

Not until last night had I ever utted the words "Wholly !" when using a product. I bought a tube of it on Saturday to have in my emergency scratch kit for my '07 GT. I decided to take it for a test drive on my 97 Mountaineer which had a 4" scratch of unknown origin on the rear lift gate. MF took that thing out like nothing happened! It was like turning back time. I had no hopes of it helping, or I would have taken a before and after picture. That scratch had been on there for like two years...

No, I don't work for Meguillar's, but this stuff does what it says that it does...

Just used it Saturday on my black 'vert.
Had a scratch at the beltline by the door.
(I did it with my blankety-blank cell phone)
A little patience and some ScratchX took that baby right out.
Can't even tell it was scratched.

Don't forget to wax over the repair once you're done.

Well it got some of the stuff out, but not all. Granted I didn't put as many coats as I probably should have, but that will be next time.

How many coats does it take? I did just one and didn't notice hardly any improvement. Not even on the very light scratches

Mine was three or four coats (applied with my fingertip) on a 2" long scratch that was partway through the clearcoat. I rubbed it in until I couldn't feel the abrasive. Let it dry and wiped it off. Repeated until I couldn't see or feel the scratch anymore.
I was working on a single scratch, but this method worked great for me.

I'll try that after the next wash. Went through a major rain storm today and needs a cleanup first.
