I washed my car at the self-service carwash and by the time I returned home (a four mile trip), my car's rear end was covered in a film on yellow POLLEN. ARRRRGGGHHH!!!! Having black is going to be heck for the next two months.

One of the fun things with black. Believe me, I've been there.
But since it pollen season...can you tell us how well the HEPA filter works on the '05?

Are you trading in the 96 Camaro for the 05 GT?

should have gotten screaming yellow?
should have gotten screaming yellow?
Washed it last weekend, and waxed with Meguiars NXT, and after work on Monday there was a definite dust film covering the car. Screaming Yellow does helps to minimize it, but in the garage with the sun filtering through the windows really makes the dust visible.
Also, I agree with the poster who said that the rear end of these things gets dirty fast. It's unbelievable how fast the rear gets dirty. My '95 GT didn't have that problem at all. The '05 rear end is definitely a dust/grime magnet for some reason.

I feel your pain. I have to clean my car so much now. And everytime I clean it I notice something that annoys me, like to 10 scratches in my hood that I dont know how to get out without repainting it.

OMG down here in Mississippi the pollen is horrible. We have been having this problem for 2 months now. My black mustang gets washed about every other day!! Black is hard to keep clean, but I love looking at it and seeing the sky, clouds, trees--- what ever is in its view

I noticed after we got the black stripes put on our satin silver that the dust is so much more apparent on the black stripes on the rear. I have this mortal fear of using a car duster too, I'm paraniod about scratching the paint with it.

Sorry about that, bud. One of the fringe benefits of having a Legend Lime 'Stang is pollen will not be as apparent!
