Of all the wax's I have ever tried I like NXT the bestest I get a much longer water bead off the surface and when I go to spray car off before I hand wash most of the junk slides off. Lots say to use Zaneo's but I've never found the stuff here. So Meguiars NXT gets my vote

 

I like it, works well and easy to use. Much debate over whether it is "better" than zaino, but I don't think there is any debate it is cheaper and at least as easy to use, maybe easier.

 

I love this stuff... 2-3 coats last forever. Makes the car shine, reflect, and look wet. I have a 'Vibrant White' Fox body and this wax really makes the "Vibrant" part stand out. It makes the car glow, even in the evening.

Team it up with the NXT car wash and your really good to go. I found some at Kmart sunday it was on sale for 65 CENTS a GALLON! I picked up the last 2!!!

I cant wait to put a couple coats on soon when the weather clears up here.

Is one a paste and one a liquid? It's hard to tell from those photos.

 

I saw both in the store, they both are liquid, I couldn't find any difference, Amazon has one for $10 (on sale) and one for $18, in the store they both are $17. I am suspecting may be just a new packaging?

 

I've used zaino and nxt, i have switched to nxt. It's cheaper and I can't tell enough of a difference in the results. Does anyone prefer the nxt paste over the liquid? I haven't tried the paste yet.

 

I am betting on different packaging. I also have not tried the paste, I am still on my first bottle of liquid!! It goes a long way.

 

I've been using NXT for a couple of years and really like it. The big mistake most people do at first (including me) is putting it on too thick. Go to the Meguiars forums for more info, but if you're doing it right, you'll barely see it after you apply it.

You also want to put it on the entire car - let it sit for a while before you wipe it off with a microfiber cloth.

I usually put on two think coats.

Have you ever used clay bar before a polish/wax? It will make your paint as smooth as glass!

 

what do you use to lubricate the clay bar, a spray bottle of water?

I have the Mothers brand clay bar and it came with a spray bottle of detailing spray to use, but i also have the Zaino clay bar (which i haven't used yet) and it came with nothing additional. I was going to use water with it.

 

I use Megs Quick Detailer...be generous.

Some folks clay after they wash, before they rinse and dry, using the soapy water as a lubricant. I prefer the QD.

yeah that Meguiars kit is rockin! That is the next thing I want to do when the weather warms up and stays dry here. But with Chicago that wont be until May...

I've always been a Mothers/Meguiars person, and I've finally decided to try the NXT gen stuff (over the Mother's pure carnuba wax).

I guess I get to see the true results tomorrow.

 

I bought NXT paste this past weekend. Will be detailing on Friday. Hope to see great results on my black 06 GT!

 

You can't compare pure carnauba wax (a pure carnauba wax with no cleaners) to NXT (a synthetic cleaner wax).

However, you can compare FX SynWax to NXT -- try it next time -- Wally-World just started carrying it.

 

I think one is a spray on wax while the other is the liquid wax.

 

The NXT product is a WAX, NOT a cleaner wax. A cleaner wax is a compound between a polish and a pure wax, and an example of this is "Mothers Carnuba Cleaner Wax." NXT, on the other hand, is a synthetic wax, not a synthetic cleaner wax. Like you said, it's comparable to the FX synwax, and Eagle One's nanowax.

I've tried that, and it sucked.
