I have a small nick in the steering wheel and was wondering if anyone has any fixes for it?

It has been there since I got the car, but since I did not notice it until a couple days after i drove it off the lot, they will not fix/replace it.

It is very small. The little leather piece is still attached.
I did not know if I should cut it off or try to some how glue it back down.

It really would not bother me so much, but it is right in a spot where my hands rests on it, so I feel it and am worried that I will make it worse if I do not do something to try and fix it.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated in advance.

I did search and could not locate a thread out there already.
If someone does find a thread out there that somehow I did miss. I apoligize (sp) in advance.
