Need a good scratch remover

Had to autocross races this weekend and on Saturday I tagged a cone hard, about 50mph sideways. It managed to put a very light scratch about 8 inches long on the passenger side door. I got all of the plastic/rubber off of the door no problem with some wax, but there is still a scratch. Any input?

Here is a picture of one of my events.

Depends on how deep it is. 800 paper, then 1000, then 1500 and rubbing compound. If its deeper than the clear, then the above is a no go.

It is definately not through the clear coat, it is very shallow. You can just barely feel it with your fingernail. If you didn't know it was there, you would never see it.

save yourself the aggrivation and just get Meguiers Scratch X
I was skepticle until i tried it on the trunk of my black stang witch had about 25 18"long scratches concentrated in one area from a tree branch I parked under like an idiot. It took them all out and you will be really hard pressed to see where they were.

Just follow the instructions and you will be in the house.

I agree. You can also use Meguiers Heavy Duty Car Cleaner (sometimes also called Body Scrub). Totally safe for clearcoats and it made to remove scratches and old wax before waxing.

I also have to agree with the Meguiers Scratch X. Whenever I get a few scratches on my hood than I like I take some Scratch X to it and then use some Meguiers NXT wax and usually or about 97% of the time the scratches are gone.

When I had my black '03 the best I found was 3M swirl remover. Seemed to work better than the Mequier's for me
