IDK, I would think that it would just concentrate pressure on those two points. I dont know a whole lot about storing a car for winter, but can you just use floor jacks, and get the car up in the air?
Jacks are definitely an option, but not very convenient for me, because the garage I store my car in is very narrow and difficult to get the jack under once it is in the garage. So far, I've been thinking I would just periodically move the car a couple inches/feet each month, but that's not the easiest either. So, this is why I was wondering if these really worked, or were just an expensive gimmick.
I usually just try to push my cars back and forth 6-8" once or twice a month when I store them over the winter. The tires still get a little bit flat-spotted, but it is only temporary and always goes away after driving the car a few miles.
That's what I'll probably be doing this year. It they were like $50, then I would definitely give them a shot, but at $250, that's a definite investment, as it could be spent towards other mods. Hmm, I wonder if I could make something similar? My guess is, it just distributes the weight over a larger surface area and is softer than concrete. Hmmm......
