Dumb A$$ hit me

I am sitting at a red light and this dumb a$$ hits the back of my car. I have the impression of the licence plate frame in my bumper. How hard is this to repair? The one that I am worried about is right by my plate and the mark goes through the line in the frame area. I have to travel tomorrow so I can not get to a body shop until Wednesday night so any reassurances on this would be appreciated.

Thank you

Sounds like you will have to have that rear bumper refinished. You shouldn't have any issues with the finish at all. If you are really picky, you can always try and find a take-off rear bumper cover of the same color.

It seems as if you didn't take a hard hit on the car

Plastic repairs are a lot more common and well done than they were a few years ago. Sounds like a no biggie fix. Worst case scenario they replace the whole bumper.

Sounds like the bumper will have to be sanded down if there was damaged. Then the whole bumper will have to be repainted.

Maybe that should be my strategy to get that? Get someone to hit me lightly....

lol, It is still a pain in the a$$, lol, you need to get quotes and deal with insurance people. As soon as they the insurance people and the body shop people agree that the bumper needs to be replaced I am ordering the new one. If all goes well I will post picks when I get her back.
