Ok. I hate people who just fling their car doors open when they get out and slam into the car next to them...
I have a relatively HUGE door ding (about an inch long, sunk in about 1/8 of an inch) with matching scuff marks. I also have a smaller ding on the same door. Is there a device that I can purchase that effectively removes these?
Also, how much would it cost to have them professionally fixed?

Try Dent Wizard, they did great work on my Probe. Years ago it was only $80 or so to have a couple dings removed.

Yeah...go to a place that does paintless dent removal. Here in KC, it is usually around $75 per panel of the car. It is really amazing how well this gets out dings. Of course, if there is paint problem, the only way completely fix it is having it painted. Usually though, once the ding is out, you can buf out the scuff to where you can barely see it.

YUP... ditto! I had a ding after I had my car just 9 days. A Walmart buggy got the side of my car!! :bang: :bang:
I parked far away from everyone, but the WIND had other ideas.... blew the buggy right into my car
Brought it to a dent doctor, was fixed for $55.
Best thing to do is go to your dealer, ask the used sales dept who they would recommend. Or, usually any car auction could get you in contact with a great one. After all, they use them all the time....

The cheapest way to get out dents or dings is by using dry ice.

Found this info on the internet on dry ice and door dings:
DENTS & HAIL DAMAGE
Dry Ice will condense metal and thereby shrink small dents on your car. Place the Dry Ice on the inside of the dent if possible. Use heavy gloves and press flat sheet against dent. If it is not possible to get on the inside concave part of the dent, then using heavy gloves hold the Dry Ice so a corner can fit into the bottom lowest part of the cratered dent. Hold the Dry Ice until the metal is frosted at least 2 inches beyond the dent. Let the metal warm up (in the sun is the best) and repeat the procedure. Sometimes the dent will pop out perfectly. More often it will not be possible to get a flat smooth finish, but the dent will be reduced noticeably. Creased metal will still show the crease line but the dent will be far less pronounced. I have not seen any paint damage, but I'm sure if the paint is not strongly adhered, it could peel away.

Just look at your local phone book for something like "paintless dent repair" or "paintless dent removal" in the Automotive Body Repair section. There are many companies with different names like "Dent-Pros" and others.
Basically what they do is work their specialized tools behind the dented panel and slowly work the metal until it is flat again. I had this done a few years back on my then brand-new truck and watched the technician do it. I cannot tell you to this day where that door ding was.
If the paint is not damaged and it is not creased too bad, I would highly recomment this method......as far as selecting the company, ask to see some examples.
I would swear by the guy that took the door ding out of my truck, it was truly amazing to watch. :worship: I think I paid $75.00 for one ding and it took about an hour. Well worth it in my opinion.
Good luck!
