dustindu4,
I just bought my wife a new (please fprgive me) unamerican car (made in the U.S. but the investment capitol going toJapan) whole on vacation (traded in her Taurus).
We installed a "full bra" fpr the trip back to Georgia (from Denver, Colorado with a detour thru Albuguerque)). I intend to remove the bra ASAP upon arrival in Georgia. I will be glad to let you know about damage to the paintat that time.
Regarding the 3M stuff: I saw some installed at the dealer's when we bought the unamerican car - the stuff looked real good to me.

or the good ol USA flag!?!? <even more sarcrasm>
just the fact that troops throughout history have died so we can give money to tiny radiated people makes me proud <ultra sarcasm>[/b][/quote]
Sarcasm accepted.
As a Veteran of foreign service, I accept and understand your feelings. Further, I support your ability, as an American, to vent your feelings.
Have a good day. :usa:

i vote the 3m product... it may be expensive, but so is repainting a mismatched/faded/chipped/rusted hood...... bras just do more damage than good anyway- plus they look ugly- you dont want the stang to look ugly- :nono: so! save some $$ and buy the clear film- it will look like you have nothing there AND protect the hood

FordPower.net installed this material on my car and is going to offer the clear bra in the near future. They said the bra would cost somewhere between $300 and $400.

I really think this stuff is going to be a good investment if you want to protect the front of your car.
I can submit a picture if you guys want to see the line. It's hardly noticeable. Get it professionally installed unless you are very good. It has to be cut for the cars design.

Dustindu - my commute is similar to yours - 40 miles of Rt 95 thru NH and Mass. The winter sanding plus gravel and stones falling off construction vehicles has done the same damage to my Bonneville that you refer to. The front of my 4 year old car is an absolute mess and will have to be repainted next summer. There just isn't any way to avoid the problem around here no matter how much space you allow in front. I'm thinking this 3m product sounds great and I'll be checking into it. I do not want this new Mustang to suffer the same damage my other less eye catching vehicles have.

Please do!!
I am on the fence about the 3M stuff...Mainly because I don't want it to like like it has a wrapper on it still...

I will take a picture of it and post it tomorrow or so. I have a class tonight and won't be able to get to my camera.
Honestly, You can only see the line when you look for it. But my view is, I would rather see it than rock chips. I washed it the other day and it washes great. No problems.
I guess it is personal preference.
I'll take a few pictures though just to show.

Yeah, but the repaint will never be the same as the factory original...

I have thought about the bra thing and have come to the conclusion that I do not want one. This is because after many years of trying I still cannot remove it quickly with just one hand.
