Counter Act -Anyone use it?
I've heard that Honda is going to put these on all their new models.
I was skeptical as well, but have heard a couple of positive experiences. A guy at work said the rust he had (older car) turned black after he installed the system. Not sure what that means, but it appears to have stopped the progression.

Read articles about hot rod builds where they use something like this and have seen some programs where they recommend using similar products to preserve the frame and body of classic cars when restoring them.
There is an article out there about a professor that tested this type of product. He found that it DOES NOT WORK!!!. I'll try to find the article and post the link.

By chance, was looking at the Speed Channel today and on Two Guys Garage, they were restoring an El Camino and were putting one on the car, and stating how great it was. Of course, most of the show is just one long commerical .......................

I will try to do some digging.. but the Canadian government charged a company selling a product like this with false advertising.

Sam Memollo also plugged the infamous Tornado on one episode, his credibility has since gone out the window in my book.

I saw the same show.
I was wanting to hear the Bassani exhaust on that El Camino too. I Tivo stuff and watch these shows in about 5 minutes because the are all pretty similar and follow a set formulae.
TIVO is worth every penny.

Saw this topic and was moved to add my two cents worth
I used to work for a company called IMC Kalium. We produced potash
from brine drained off the Great Salt Lake and actually produced a
lot of road salt as "waste" from our primary business.
This was one salty place what with all the evaporation ponds and all.
Any way we used these Counteract systems and the ware house couldn't keep them on the shelf for people grabbing them for their personal vehicles. The mechanics figured it doubled or tripled the life of a pickup between rebuilds over the trucks that didn't have the system. At one time new trucks literally had doors falling off after a couple years in the field before they started using the Counteracts.
I have had a Counteract on a restored 79 Bronco for some 14 years. The Bronco had putty and repairs when I bought it and I had my buddy the "body shop guru" work it over and repaint it. I use it as a regular driver and its got some 300 K miles on it now. It has been repainted once in 14 years (2 years ago) and my bud (the guru) was amazed at how well the body had lasted. It may be my imagintion but my exhausts seem to last longer too. Two of them in 14 years. Also my 12 year old aluminum wheels driven year round have no pits with only a little bit of Mothers and elbow grease for maintenance. Got one on my wife's car and on two of my "show babies" with no complaints either.
