Blackfire Wet Diamond on my Kona

Very easy to use.
Great results.
Best product I have ever used on a dark car.

I got mine from Autogeek when they were running a 2 for 1 sale on it.
Here are couple places that are selling it for $16.95 right now, which is a very good price.

Amazon.com: Blackfire Gloss Enhancing Polish 16oz: Automotive Amazon.com: Blackfire Gloss Enhancing Polish 16oz: Automotive

For best results you need to prep your paint.

What I did was:

1. Rinsed off car
2. Washed using Turtle Wax Liquid Clay to remove old wax
Basically used a soft terry wash cloth, water and the liquid clay.
3. Washed car with Maguires crystal*car soap to remove clay residue
4. Dried car with microfiber towel.
5. Hand-applied the BFWD with a normal sponge-type wax applicator
6. Waited for BFWD to dry (45min to 1hr)
7. Removed with microfiber towel.

BFWD doesn't need to sit that long to set up. You can go 10-15 minutes and remove it without a problem. I've found that a machine application of a thinner coat than by hand makes it easier yet. Usually I hit the little stuff by hand, then use the machine on the big panels, then immediately follow up with a good MF towel to remove it and the whole process takes less than an hour.

Thanks for the tips. Never had a wax on her yet. 1800 miles... Going to car show in March, and will be using this wax the night before.... Thanks again...

Don't wait until the night before.
BFWD is a paint sealant, not a wax.
Put it on now to keep your paint protected. If you want it to really shine, you can put another coat of BFWD or a good carnuba on the night before the car show.
You can read the difference between waxes and sealants here:

Waxes and sealants are very similar. Don't let the terminology confuse you.

If you mean that they are made from different materials with differing properties and charcteristics, then yes they are very similar.

I mean that most people typically use them as a last step product, and they are applied after polish. Some people use on, the other, or both to enhance and protect the surface.

Looks awesome! I am a huge fan of the Blackfire line. They just came out with an all new look and reformulated a lot of their products. It's my go to LSP and wheel cleaner too.

Absolutely. Re-read my earlier post. Apologies if I sounded like a "Richard".
