Best oil to use for 2011 3.7?

I'm not a car expert so I don't know a lot about what products to use. Give me your opinions or experiences with different brands and types of oils! Thanks guys!

Motor oils that you can't go wrong and top quality: Mobil 1 Extended Performance, Amsoil, Redline and Royal Purple. I personally use Mobil 1 extended performance but the others are great as well.

You can go wrong with Mobil1 and Royal Purple, For the filter, go with motorcraft.

Any oil you pick will do OK. I buy Mobil 1 (6 quarts) and a motorcraft filter from Walmart for around $45.

I've always used Mobil 1 sun & have never ever had a worry, every other week it even goes on sale for like 1/2 price, I think I'm good for a while. Used in my 05 GT & my 07 GT/CS

I have used both Mobil One & Mobil One Extended. Both oils were black after 5,000 miles. No difference so now I use the regular Mobil One and change it every 4-5,000 miles. Motorcraft filters from Wallmarts or sometimes the dealer.

The oil is supposed to be black. That's not bad. The Extended Performance has different additives to make the oil last for up to 15,000 miles of for an oil change interval

The oil is not black when it goes in. It turns blacks because of the getergents that are doing its job but i think its also the oil starting to break down.

As far as the warranty is concerned anything that meets the factory requirements.

I run 5-30 full synthetic as I run my car or pretty hard and feel better running that versus the 5-20. For normal usage the 20 weight stuff is fine and Motorcraft 5-20 is very cheap.

All the oil test i have read, they used 5w30. Why? I don't know why. I also read, 5w30 thinned down to 5w20 on a hot summer day. Started me thinking, what would 5w20 thin down to on a hot summer day. I never could find an answer to that because 'all' the oil test i could find used 5w30 weight oil. Best i can find, 5w30 is the standard weight oil in Europe and 5w20 is very hard to come by.

These are most of the reasons why i use 5w30 weight oil

Not trying to start an 'oil war'. 5w20 is okay to use.
