Anybody have any helpful hints or tricks for getting the inside of that dreaded back window clean? I was trying yesterday and just about dislocated my shoulder. I'd be eternally grateful :worship: if anyone could share an easier way to clean there.

Don't get it dirty.
Keep the kids and the pets out.

Seriously, there is no good way.
You could develp a handle with a cleaning pad on it or something, but I'm not sure that would do the job.

Try being in your 40's and attempting this.

I feel your pain.

That rear window is tricky to clean no matter what. Even I had trouble cleaning it, and I'm relatively skinny and young. I can only imagine what the guy that tinted it went through.

Oooo. I really feel your pain then. Just kidding.
Just look at it as one of those everyday challenges that we older folk have to overcome.
You can feel really good about it when your done.

Me Too!!! 44 here!

But regarding the subject at hand...

I bought a "Microfiber glass cleaning kit" from a local closeout store, I paid $15.00 for it. the kit included seveal bonnets and a triangular shaped head to put them on with an extension wand. It works really well and reaches the corners of the back window relatively easily. I do remember an infomercial on TV about this a while ago.

Hope this helps

Yea 44 here also, but I have been dealing with a 67 Fastback for awhile that has the same condition if not worse. Feel your pain Gotmy05. It is hard to clean so try not to get it dirty. I will have to make a trip to Target to see if they have that Micro fiber kit or something like it.

I sit on the passenger side, turn my body to face the drivers side. I then use my left arm to clean the drivers side half of the back window. Then hop over to the other seat, face the passenger side and use my right arm to clean the rest of the window. That is the best way I have found and you don't have to be a contortionist to do it.

I have one also... Its called the "Glass Wizard" from "As Seen On TV". It was the first product I've seen from a late nite TV infommercial that really worked.
I forget about " Mr Microphone" that one worked....

That's about the way I do it too. Although even this is tough when you're 60 +. And I've had lots of practice - I had to do the rear window of a '69 fastback for 10 years!

Thanks to Jontall for the Griot's tip - I think I'll get something like that.
