Any tips on removing wax from trim?

Did a sloppy job of waxing the car and now the black exterior trim looks terrible.
Any tips on cleaning this up? I've tried a couple of different light solvents with no luck.

Thx

I would start with a pink pencil eraser followed by Back to Black (think this is made by Mothers... works great to restore the finish on black trim)

Griot's garage makes a cleaner to take dried wax off the black stuff.
if all else fails go with them.

Thx for the tips!

Once it stops raining here I'll try the eraser and some Back to Black.

You can get PigSpit @ Wally Mart if we are talking about the same product. I use it all the time.

Prepsol works well and is super useful around the garage, Klasse AIO, and the cheapest a pencil eraser. The Klasse is great to bring the plastics back to life.

tip for the future, always start the detailing with precoating the trim. If you put a heavy coat on the trim, then wax as normal, you can go back and just wipe down the trim and the wax comes right off. I stick with Maquires stuff, pretty cheap, easy to find and works great.

Good tip, I was thinking I might try the blue painter's tape on the trim. Never fails, start off with good intentions, then get sloppy as the job progresses.
