After Market Air Filters for 2016 Ecoboost
Hi All
I was wondering if anyone had real world experience with after market filters, like the K&N oiled, in stock air boxes. I have read comments elsewhere from people who love them, and "data" suggesting they still allow a lot of dirt into the engine. I don't know how much damage this dirt actually does, so I was hoping someone (especially a mechanic) could shed light on performance claims and potential engine damage.
Thanks,
Paul

I was told by someone not to use any type of oiled air filter because it can possibly mess with the mass air flow sensor. Not sure this is true, hopefully someone more intelligent can chime in on the subject.
