Ordered my car cover yesterday! Had them send it out "Next Day" so I should get it today, then give you all a full report once I use it.

Got it from: Calcarcover.com .........like a few of you suggested.

Since mine will only be used indoors, I got the "Dustop" it is supposed to be a padded cover.

With express shipping and a storage bag, it came out to be $40.00 cheaper than the Ford car cover.

More info later.

I think I may have to get their Stormweave cover. $179.99 isn't bad.

What's the point?? DUST!!!!!

Dust is a killer to your paint, one of the most abrasive elements!

I can see if you are storing it for a while, but how much dust can accumulate in between washes to be a problem killer for your paint? More power to you if you think you are going to put the cover on after every time you drive it, but for me I didn't even do it when I had a cover for my s2000 and i parked it out on the street.

I won't be putting the cover on daily while driving it during the warm months, but here in Michigan, I will be storing it for around 4 months.

Obviously, you have to take the antenna off, but if you are just storing it for long periods of time, unscrewing the antenna is no biggie. I can see if you were putting it on every day. I thought about going the car cover route. Not because of dust, because I live down south and will not be storing it for more than a weekend, if that. But, I ended up building a carport off my house for about twice what Ford's car cover costed, and added value to my home.

You have to take the antenna off when you first put the cover on, then you mark where the antenna goes, punch a hole in the material and then install an enclosed grommet....you can then leave the antenna on all the time. I took the pictures when I first got the cover to post the pictures, I now have the hole for my antenna.

Looks good Mike..... I got a spoiler delete, so it's nice to know from your pics that the rear of the cover won't hang on the ground do to the shorter height without a spoiler.....

Being serious now....It does look good. Ive had rotten luck with covers in the past (mold, dirt, dont work well with paint). I'll just have to take a wee bit better care with a quality cover.

This cover is sold in 2 versions, with & without the spoiler......I have a spoiler and they have a little extra material to go around it, so if you order one without a spoiler, it will be made to fit accordingly.

Being annal I once located a company where you could order your cover in many colors. I want to order one in Black with a red mustang on the front. If anyone knows that company let me know if not I'll continue the internet search.

CoverCraft used to, they are the officially licensed cover maker for FORD, but their curret contract restricts them from selling the logo covers to anyone other than FORD Dealers.
Here is a link if you are interested in the equivalent w/o the logo...Post Link
