X-Plan Question
X-Plan Question
Hi everyone, perhaps a knowledgeable Ford dealer can help me with this question. I am 9-12 months away from my next car purchase and a couple of the vehicles I am considering are Fords. I have an interest in either a 2012 Focus or a 2012-13 V6 Mustang.
What is the difference in the different plans and how do I get them. I have been told one option is by purchasing Ford stock, if that is the case how much stock would I have to own to qualify for some kind of discount.
Thank you in advance I'm sure someone here can help me out with this question.

Wow thanks for the info, if you don't mind me asking how much below invoice were your cars from the X-plan. I am considering a couple other makes too but with x plan I'd probably get the best deal below invoice.
I'm likely going to get a V6 Premium and may get the optional sport package with the GT suspension depending on x plan price.
Also since one of you has a V6 and one has a V8 what kind of MPGs are you getting in your rides. I've always been a V8 guy but the power, price MPG number are what really turns me on to the new 3.7, if the GT still gets fairly well MPGs maybe I'll consider a GT.

X-Plan pricing isn't below invoice. Existing rebates and other offers still apply though, so you may end up getting it for below invoice after rebates, but straight X-Plan pricing is a tiny bit above invoice. The number that comes to mind is something like .4% above invoice, but that may not be correct. It has been a few years since I bought a Ford with X-Plan.
Phil, let me know what you are wanting to price and stuff and i can price out anythign you need.
Like others said x-plan is over invoice, usually around 100-200 over invoice. Its easy and straight forward so you don't need to bother haggling.
Example of a V6 premium 200a with perfromance package.
sticker $29610
invoice $27916
x-plan $28080
And then you get all rebates off of that, so you can get a 750 certificate from ford and fords $500 rebate they have going now.
So x-plan would be 28080 - 1250 = $26830

I'm curious if it is even worth bothering getting x-plan on a left over or just go on my own in that situation. Thanks for your help I have a lot of figuring out to do over the next year...
