who still has their first car and/or first mustang?
Was thinking about it and ive only had my mustang a year but the thing is its my first real car(I paid for it). In that year ive made this car mine. I have this feeling that I want to keep it for as long as possible but I also have that feeling to trade it towards a GT. What ya think?

I do. Well, my parents do now. It was an '97 Nissan Sentra. Thing still runs like a boss. Not the fanciest car but it has the essentials for South Texas, A/C, power windows, heat, and a radio. Gas mileage is amazing.
I recently bought a '11 V6 premium. But it made sense for me because I'm traveling on the road more so I like the gas mileage. I'm going to keep it for a few years, mod it out some, then trade in or sell for that year's BOSS or Cobra, depending on how it looks. At least, thats my plan.

Start saving now, keep it 'til the engine has had it, and then drop a 5.0 in it. That would be a car with a lot of character.
And yeah, this is my first mustang, I've had it for 2 1/2 years now. I had a '97 Nissan Altima, but sold it for $700 when I bought the stang. Loved that car, and my friend reported a sighting of it a couple months ago 35 miles from where i sold it. Good to hear its still running, haha.

This is my first Mustang - the only vehicle I ever bought new - and I intend to keep her up 100% and give her to one of the kids one day when I'm old... *real* old.
I drove my first (1965 C10) till it about died... she was pretty tired when I got her. The rest of the story is in my signature.

I've still got my first, my 05. I won't be getting rid of it until it's time to give to one of my boys. Even when they're old enough, who knows when I'll actually be able to give it to them (w/ the title).
But hey, at least I'm starting them off right:

the 69 mustang fastback was my 5th car, still got it, but its been apart since '84, hogging up garage space...sat outside under cover for part of winter 2003, cover froze to the old unwaxed paint, looked nice when rolled out, like crap when I pulled the cover off 2 months later...
still have the 429 from my first car, a 69 galaxie that Mom bought when I was 7~8, promptly wrecked when I was 16. the plan was to drop the 429 into the 69, but sometimes life happens... someday maybe...

Thanks Tim! Yeah, my oldest turns 5 on Thurs and youngest turns 1 next month. Last time we had some decent weather, my oldest starts down hill on the concrete drive, lets off the gas and cuts the wheel so he does a 180 in the driveway. His face =

our youngest is going to be 4 next month, this summer put blocks on his brothers old gokart so he could reach the pedals, rewired the motors in series to slow it down till he learned to steer... few weeks later put the motors back in parallel, same thing, all grins, skidding, spinning out...
I wanted to get him a mustang also, but weve had these carts already from the older kids- and the wife said no, AND I couldnt find one in blue
