WHO’S WINNING THE PONY CAR WARS?

In May 2013, the Ford Mustang appears to be the victor, as its 8797 deliveries trump the 7929 Chevrolet Camaros and 5537 Dodge Challengers sold last month.

What makes this even more astounding is that the Mustang is still selling this good on basically a 10 year old platform.

This doesnt bode well for the Camaro & Challenger when the new Mustang rolls out!!

I have to agree about the Mustang. I would buy another new one before buying a Camaro or Challenger. I own two GM cars and was looking at the new Camaro when it came out, but after test driving it I simply thought the Mustang was still better (and especially less heavy feeling). I do like the Challenger but anything owned by Fiat can't be a good thing

Mustang sales vs Camaro were down over the past few years. I think you are seeing market saturation in this segment now. I believe people are waiting for the replacement models.

I think the winners in this war are us, the buyers, regardless of which vehicle is purchased

It's worth noting that Challenger sales are way up. I saw a figure of 45% increase over last year's May sales. That's huge. I can't explain it. Have to agree with the last poster, any choice among these three cars is a winner.

I really like the challengers as well; had the general specs, weight and such, been closer, it would have been a harder decision between a RT or GT. Pre-5.0, challenger all day.
