Ha ha. Some of my friends laugh at me for doing it. I'm always looking back and thinking **** do I really own that?

I always do. Mostly with the truck though as I never really park the Mustang unattended.
Even when I'm home, I'm always checking my truck out, looking out the window.

Yep, the parking lot is a good place to check out your ride. My wife laughs at me 'cause I frequently go out in the garage at night to gaze at my Mustang.

This happened:

I was fixing to leave, and yet again, Awesome struck me as just so pretty.

So, being the goof I am, I waved over a couple of guys at work who were nearby. They got near to me, and I turned and pointed at my car and said "Ain't she purty?"

They kinda rolled their eyes, but they did spend a couple of minutes checking out some of her newer features, so that's cool.

/I'm ate up about Awesome, and I don't care who knows it.

Hi houtex,

Well, you're obviously a sick puppy like many of us. I suppose there might be a 12 step program for gear heads.

With many of my cars I've picked parking spots in big lots that would give me the longest walk/best view on the way back. Non car freaks just don't get it, or us for that matter.

Hey.....everybody needs to geek out over something,,,,,,,,,,,,"ain't she pretty?" Sure is.

Yup, everytime. If I ever get tired of looking back then I guess it is time for something else... Going to be a while though. Can't get enough right now.

I don't look back but I always park it in a the lot away from the other cars, I have a huge paranoid fear of door dings, lol.

^^^ I'm also guilty of parking long distances away too. We even have our wives trained properly. I saw my car collector neighbor's wife come walking from a long distance at the local grocery store. Good wife!!

I never take my Mustang to Walmart, but last year I had to make a quick run there before a show. I parked way out at the end and as close to the curb as possible to allow even extra room on my driver side door. As I left the store could see someone had parked next to me....way out in no-man's land!!!

As I got closer, the owner was getting out of his car....a '13 Boss302. He said "hope you don't mind...I figured whoever owned that black GT would be just as careful as I am when he opens his door."

He basically had my back and protected my exposed left side. I thanked him and said I'd have done the same thing.

My GF only complained one time about me parking in the next zip code on a blustery night to go see a show. I simply replied dress warmer next time. She's never mentioned it again!

Was in a parking lot walking to the store and looked back, paused a second, and this old man comes up to me and says, "Stop drooling, it'll still be here when you get back out." I laughed, he said he understood the feeling, he used to do that with his '67 GT500.
