OK, there has been a lot of debate over which Eleanor car is better. The yellow 1973 Mach 1 from the original Gone in 60 Seconds, or the gray and black Eleanor from the 2000 version of Gone in 60 Seconds? Which do you think is better?

the old, for me, looks better. i always did like that body style better anyway. if the newer one had better colors and a less distorted hood then i might have picked it. although, i do like the newer wheels better...

I never cared for the look of the 71's. In fact, after that it wasn't until the SN95 came along that I bothered to start considering Mustangs again.

The modded '67 Shelby is the better looker, but the '71 has a natural, down home beauty.

The first Eleanor was a '73, not a '71.

I prefer the look of the '67, even though I own a '73. Obviously the producers of the movie went with the '67 because it has a greater appeal than the "aircraft carrier" 1971-1973 Mustangs.

I always found the 71-73's to look a little big for my taste; but all in all they're still great looking cars (especially the Machs). But then again, I like the modern interpretation of Eleanor, except for the hood, and, to a lesser extent, the lights. While the 71-73's may have looked like "Aircraft Carriers" in the daytime, the front of (new) Eleanor looks like one at night, with all the pointless lightbulbs. I don't know which one to go with, I'm split, they're both memorable cars.

73 because it is original ! They didn't need huge tires and scoops and special paint to make to car stand out.
IMO the 74 movie is also a lot better and funnier. I like the GT500E but nothing beats a classic mustang....ever.
