The wife and I have several Mustangs. We ran across 08 a little over a year ago for a fair price. But it has a cover on the motor that I have never seen before so we bought it. It is marked 4.0 Hi Performance and is marked for Hi Octane fuel only. I can't find anything about it and didn't know Ford ever made one. Has any one else seen one or know anything about it.
That is an aftermarket cover from a company called Midwets Auto Gear that went out of business around 2011.
The emblem is from somewhere else and was added by the previous owner.
They sold the V6 intake covers, radiator cover extensions, strut tower covers and other accessories.
I had mine done in body color and added the pony emblem and the "Powered by Ford" decals.
