I love the torque in 4th without having the engine screaming in 3rd. Sure, there is more power available in 3rd, but I just like the gearing of 4th.

I like the 2-3 shift just because I look in the mirror and see twin black marks for about 100 feet

I voted 2nd to 3rd but I like the 5th to 3rd shift about half way though the Downtown tunnel at 2 in the am. The sound and feeling are awesome.

I love punching it when I'm going under tunnels. Always puts a smile on my face

That's my fav. too, but mine don't just break loose. they leave a big long patch if I want to.
If I want to go fast, I shift at high rpms so I don't lose traction as much (lower torque).

I was going to say swing shift.
Then I realized we were talking manual transmission.
Nothing beats a good clean 2nd to 3rd shift.

Well it was kinda fun the day I found out that if you floor it in 4th, sooner or later you have to shift it into OD.
