I have been averaging around 18.1 for about a month. This is with driving at over 130 for extended periods on the autobahn. Not bad I would say. The enjoyment of my car is fulfilled to the highest extent possible as of now. I can't wait to get a tune so I can break 155.

Just got back from an overnight getaway with my lovely wife. We covered 445 miles in the two days and averaged 27.9. The last stretch from Astoria, OR home showed 30.0 just when we got off the freeway near home. A good part of it was highway driving at speeds from about 55 to about 75 depending on the road. The odometer crossed the 2,000 mile mark during the trip. I suspect it will get better and am looking forward to a week-long road trip in late May.

I have been getting 18 over the last two tanks. Mixed city and autobahn pretty good considering the only time I'm not going as fast as possible is in the restricted zones which is usually 120K or around 80. Or 30-50K in town. Or really freakin slow.

I average about 15-16 in my 95GT and 18 in my 99 V6. Figure that one out.

Just completed a 5,600 miles cross country trip, mostly highway of course. The Mustang computer (re-set fresh at the beginning) showed 25.5 mpg but our figures, using gas receipts and mileage (full tank leaving and returning)came out to 24.2 mpg. Not sure about the discrepancy, but either way, we consider that excellent for a 300 HP V8. I know that is somewhat expected nowadays but we are older and certainly remember mid-teens mileage for a similar trip.
