Although, 60k for your car is like taking candy from a baby.

I went and check out the boss today and it's perfect... Didn't have the torsen rear end thank god as I'm not a track guy.
Recaro seats are sweet, just a few exterior mods to personalize it and I'll be good to go.
Yeah about the candy thing... If he bought a stock GT he'd be in $51,000 with taxes and with modding it the way I have mine it would be another $20,000 with taxes so at days end it's the same thing.
He wants black but there's none so he bought a great car.... Just sucks I'll see it on the road from time to time.

If the Boss has the Recaros, it has the Torsen. They were paired together as a single option package.

Ok it does have the torsen in the 302 but it's still a limited-slip diff that still good for drag racing where the torsen available in the LS is a helical diff which is only good for track purposes?
Is this correct?
The torsen from my perspective is a 31 inch spline axle set up all ready

I hate to disagree but the torsen offered in both are different.... What I'd like to know is the spline count on the axles.there both 3:73.
The torsion bar on the LS would tear up the base rear end in the boss I'm afraid.
One is a clutch pack and the other is gear to gear for positive traction I've recently read.

Don't know if this helps but Ford Racing claims this is the differential used in the Boss 302 LS.

I have no evidence but I thought the optional Torsen differential on the Boss 302 was the same as the Laguna Seca model as well.

You answered my question when u said optional....
So with the boss it comes standard with the limited slip torsen and the option is the gear to gear torsen
Beauty!

Power is delivered to a 3.73 ratio rear axle using carbon fiber plates in the limited-slip differential to improve torque handling and longevity. For those who want even more precise control over power delivery, a torque-sensing (Torsen) limited-slip differential is an available option coupled with Recaro front seats.
Engine power routes through a six-speed close-ratio manual gearbox to a standard 3.73-ratio Torsen limited-slip differential, helping the revised rear suspension deliver maximum torque and traction under the punishing conditions encountered on the track.

Rumors are that the torsen differential won't hold up to the abuse of the clutch dumps required for drag racing... but it's superior for road racing.

Maybe it's a matter of semantics, but the standard Boss is a limited slip, "non-torsen" differential. The option, standard on the Laguna Seca, is a limited slip torsen differential. Rumors are that the torsen differential won't hold up to the abuse of the clutch dumps required for drag racing... but it's superior for road racing.
