Driving to church yesterday a 15 year old Amish teenager gave me a thumbs up as I drove by him on his scooter. And after the soccer game tonight a bunch of teenagers stopped to watch me drive by and they were all waving. I was the same way with nice cars when I was their age and pretty much still that way today!

Yes, I almost get sideswiped sometimes from people riding beside me and staring to long. I imagine you have it worse with the Shelby.

Sure gives a whole new meaning to defensive driving.

Yea, Yea. Keep dreaming away. Depreciation is coming fast to your neighborhood.

Pretty sure that only matters if you're not keeping the car...which I am, so I don't give a ****.

I get a lot of attention from various places; living in a big city makes it easier. I've been stopped once in the 14 months I've owned it but no tickets, because I keep it under the speed limit. I like my insurance rates right where they are. Lots of people wave/thumbs up, but the fun ones are fellow Shelbys that, when passing, will rev their engines, after which I rev mine back.

My 2013 GT is drawing some nice attention. The bag boys at the market drool over it. I see people checking it out as I go by and by those in traffic. A couple of times when my daughter was with me I got on it to make a pass. My daughter says "wow mom, you should have seen their faces" she gives me this big eyed look.

My 2007 V6 was a dent, scratch and police magnet. I got pulled in it three times. Speeding, screeching, and driving in the center turn lane. Just going 10 miles over without realizing it. The screeching I did not mean to do. I just hit the gas too hard. The officer pulls me over and asks "ma'am, are you in a hurry?" No sir, I did not mean to do that. The last one I was making a left turn and pulled into the center lane and drove a tiny bit until a car passed. Been doing it that way forever. I only got warnings on all. I've been behaving in the GT. Don't think I can sweet talk my way out of a ticket in that baby.

I've had my Grabber Blue GT for 6 months and it boils down to consistent reactions by gender/age.
Women: "That's a beautiful shade of blue" and variations therein
Men: "Cool car. How fast have you taken it/how many horsepower?"
Kids: Blip the throttle, get the 8 year old standing nearby to jump up and down.

This year was interesting as I had no idea how much attention a mach 1 would draw here in Alberta. The first event involved a couple of older ford pickups and an old lincoln LS on the hwy out here in farm country. We had to slow for a construction zone. The pickups cam e right up to my rear bumper and they frantically pointed at my car to each other in the cab. Then they motioned to the LS who was a few lanes over who then gawked at me. I was kinda worried at first but the thumbs up and the salutes told me they had probably only ever heard about mach 1 and never seen one. They buzzed around me for a few minutes taking pics and then I hit warp 1 once past the construction zone. I could see this thrilled them. Made me giggle.
Also, throughout the summer suv's with kids in the back were spotted filming my car as i sped by. Pretty cool. I suspect the sound and the color really made people look twice

I get most compliments when at car meets and the occasional thumbs up from other motorists.

Every time I get gas or go to a auto parts store I am asked if they can take a photo of the car. Tthe last two detail jobs done on the car was at no charge, if I would allow them to use the car on their flyers and business cards. Also I have a QR code on the side windows that allow anyone that scans it to be able to get a bio sheet of the mods done to the car. I catch people all the time scanning the QR code.
