I just noticed that the recent War of the Worlds movie is not listed as a movie featuring a Mustang in the movies section of this website. Tom Cruise drives a Mustang in the beginning of the movie. I forgot what year the car was, but it was pretty cool.

 

It was like a 68 GT Fastback and it may have been green. I only saw the movie once when it first came out, but I remember it was pretty nice car. I also remember thinking I'd strangle my kid if he took the car out for a drive, as Tom's son in the movie did.

 

War of the Worlds Mustang was an all original 66 Shelby GT350H Hertz Rent-a-racer. I saw the car in person at the Shelby Convention at Danville Va. The green 67 fastback was in Vanilla Sky that Tom Cruise drove.

 

Right you are. Both are gorgeous cars. As much of a wack-job he seems to be, at least he has a thing for Mustangs. There was a picture on here a while ago with him is a silver saleen mustang.
