Virginia Councilman Angered by Mustang Purchase, Calls it a "Hot Rod"
It seems that a police department’s plans in Virginia to purchase a 2014 Mustang has stirred up a bit of controversy, which is a bit odd considering the car happens to be the vehicle of choice for a lot of law enforcement officials.
Calling the car a “hot rod,” Richmond City Councilman Phil Quinn admitted he blew a gasket when he was informed by the city’s Police Chief, Kris Wolski, of the department’s plans for the vehicle at a council meeting, as highlighted in a Pal-Item report.

The Councilman got what he wanted. He made his plea of "no fair, wages!" and "hot rod!" when he really has no actual problem. He just wanted the newsbytes, 'cause elections.
Trust me on that. His lips were moving. First sign of a liar...er, politician.

OOH. I got it.
Now, they have to buy *one of every single kind of car*.
That way they spur the economy, and make it *impossible* to tell which of the cars out there are being used.
"Dude... is that a 1998 Honda Civic over there?"
"Naw, man. Looks like a '99. It's cool."
"No way. That's a '98. And its that off white with the dented bumper. I smell bacon. Screw it, I'm out."
THAT's brilliant.

If he has the job security, it'd be funny if the police chief made a sarcastic presentation for the next council meeting on why a Prius or Nissan Leaf would be the ultimate LEV. "The perp will never hear us coming!"
