Turbo my mustang?

Hi! I have a 1999 mustang gt that I would like to add some more horse to. I was thinking of doing a turbo kit but just don't want to spend all the money to make it happen. Doin was wondering if I could buy the cheap ebay kit, ditch the crap turbo and use just the piping and inter cooler and then buy a nice turbo to go along with that. Would this be any good or no? Thanks

Honestly, in my experience, if your going to do it, pay the money for a quality kit. If your going to try and save money, it's best to do it in the labor, if you feel capable to install yourself. Too many of us have tried doing things the cheap way just to have to go back later and fix / replace things that don't work out. Usually ends up costing more in the long run. Just my $.02.

Just swoop on a 2014 5.0. There practically giving them away! Then you can make all the power you want! Unless you like the 99s, I can relate because im partial to the 2014s!
