TMS Tourney: Best Mustang Ever

What is the best Mustang ever made? Let's find out once and for all with a tournament!

Post your nominations in your reply. Cars must be factory stock (for example: 1966 Mustang GT, 2003 SVT Cobra), aftermarket turnkey (1999 Saleen S351, 2008 Roush P-51A), sanctioned race car (1970 Boss 302 TransAm, 2005 FR500C), concept car (1962 Mustang I, 2005 GT Concept), or featured in a movie (Bullitt 1968 GT390 Fastback, Gone in 60 Seconds modified 1967 Shelby GT500). Personally customized cars (Project Source Horse, for example) are not allowed.

When all nominations have been submitted, the moderators will seed them and we'll start voting!

hmmm, this is a toughie
I wanna say 2005 Concept, cuz the S197's are my favorite of them all
but I'll go with the one that makes everyone think Mustang, 64.5, or 65 GT Convertible

I think well if this was the first to roll off the line will be it as if it never happened to begin with where could it have gonew ?
The first cars are referred to as "1964 1/2" Mustangs by their owners. They're technically not 1964 models, since they weren't rolled out in October of 1963 with the rest of the new 1964 Ford cars. The company was eager to show off their new car during the World's Fair, so they unveiled it in April of 1964. However, the first Mustangs are not true 1965 models, because those were rolled out in October of 1964.

Can't pic one over the other. Those two are my favorites.

2007 Shelby GT500

This is very hard, but everything considered...the 2007 Shelby GT500. The only negative that I can come up with on the GT500 is it's weight. It has power, styling, and you don't have to be under 6' to fit comfortably.

03/04 SVT Cobra - Probably as close to the best as you can get
S197
69/70 Bosses (429/351/302)
69/70 Machs
I could keep going, but I will stop.

This is very hard. My favorite Mustang has always been the '70 Boss 302 with the '69's not that far behind. But my vote would not go to the newer car it would go to the one that truly brought the Mustang into the performance wars, the '68 1/2 Cobra Jet.
