I test drove a 2009 shelby gt500 with a exhuast and tune/cai. 600 hp claimed. cert pre owned. 15k miles. asking 37550.

I then test drove a 2007 shelby gt500 vert. It had a kenne bell mammoth blower and a exhaust. It had a 2 inch drop and 20 inch wheels. 720 hp claim. 15k miles. asking 43k. *issue* had speed wables at 60 mph. maybe after suspension or wheel/tire combo.

 

both cars were fast. the vert wasnt scary but fun. The 09 seemed fast but not to pull hard. My 07 gt with the ford racing whipple seemed far more scary.

 

That would be very impressive mods on the 09 since factory is only 500hp

 

thats what I was thinking. it did go to vegas to the shelby factory for the tune/cai and exhaust.

 

funny side note..

while I was looking at a new DIB CS a guy in a tesla roadster drove up to the charge station like three feet from me. The guy got out fo the car and said "you looking at buying a gas powered car?" *in a very german accent* my reply " yeah.. thats what we do here in AMERICA".

 

Should have asked him how he liked his coal powered car.

Great photo..........a Mustang at an electric charging station. I hope it's a long long long long loooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooong time before a Mustang ever has to use one of those for real!

 

One would think that cars with high hp # claims come with dyno sheets. Test drives for the purpose of buying ?

 

the vert had dyno sheets. why else spend my limited time test driving if not to buy. my 2012 is old and im bored with it.
