Teaching a special young lady to drive in a Mustang GT
I've had the privilige of teaching a special young lady in my life to drive. She was quite excitied when I told her she would be learning the basics in the wife's '18 GT. For medical reasons we don't have any kids, and this young one belongs to our friends, and neighbors. She's the Grand Daughter I never had, and yes, I have spoiled her like she's mine.
I started her out early, and did my best to give her an appreciation for sports cars. She was around 5 when we started.
Introducing her to a manual transmission. She said after she gets some experience in driving, she wants to learn how to drive this one. I think I've taught her pretty dang good up to this point.
At 15 she has grown to be a very smart, and considerate young lady. Her first day out with "Uncle Jim". I had a great time, and of course loved every minute.

Jim! I recall from memory you posted a previous thread which also mentions teaching your next door neighbors daughter how to drive a Mustang GT manual... Anyhow, perhaps you may want to consider having Kevin combine both threads together, knowing they are both very similar to one another... Thread link is provided below...
I have had the opportunity to introduce a couple of different young folks to driving a stick. It's great fun to help them get started. Most of them want to go back to an automatic, but I have seen the manual gearbox bug bite a few of them.
