Have any of you all done this, I know its wrong but its funny . Well last weekend i was just driving along :drive: and i saw this little honda in my rear view mirror trying to come up fast behind me so i move over to pair up with him at a lite, im in a Ford explorer limited and this guy is in a honda civic all sported out with his wing, coffe can exhaust, music all loud trying to look all bad and his girl is next to him. so i rev my engine to signal a race, i know he has no chance in winning, and he takes it, he gets all hyped up reving his engine and his girl is all smileing like saying i have no chance. so the lite turns green and we go, I get to the next lite and i am just laughing my [deleted] off, i left him so far behind i had wait for him to get to the lite, and he was [deleted] you can just see it in his face and his girl did not even tern to me she just shook her head . i was laughing so hard cus even a big explorer can beat those little rice popping imports. So have any of you matched up with a import just for fun to make them look bad and have them realize that their import isnt [deleted] to a real muscle car.

Nah, unless they are imports higher up on the food chain (i.e. 350Z, RX8...), not really worth the time.

Turbo, supercharger OR nitrous to run 11's
Not, pick 2 and run 13's

My Subaru is pretty basic, just a turbo-back exhaust and mild ECU tune to run mid-13's all day long. The GT's I've ran at the track with similar mods (ie: cat-back exhaust, x-pipe and a Diablo chip) were running high 13's to 14 even. Yeah, mine came from the factory with a power adder (just like a Cobra does), but the GT has more than twice the displacement as mine car too. So all is fair, there are no unfair advantages, run whatcha brung and let the timeslips do the talking (IMO street "kills" are a joke).

I know this is a Mustang forum and I really love my Mustang too. I'm just saying, not all imports are a bunch of fart canned ricers.

I HOPE no one is saying that japanese cars arent fast, because some of them are very, remember the twin turbo supra ?

What "I" mean, when I say rice mobile is the definition of just that, a civic or some variation thereof with a HUGE wing, off color tint, and so on.

Even still, if you leave off that stupid wing, and only do the ground effects, some of them are HOT, but still not fast...

Apparently you people haven't seen what a real import can do, not your economy car turned rice mobile.
I think when they say import, they mean cars like civic's, ect... and not Ferarri and Porsche.

Nope I'm referring to the Supra, RX-7, 350Z, S2000, Evo 8 MR, Impreza STi, Integra Type R, Civic Type R (the real ones that Honda does not export to the US), G35 Coupe, Skyline GT-R and others.

The upcoming next generation Skyline GT-R (to be named the Infiniti GT-R here) will put most domestics to shame.
Well if they don't make it to our shores, then they are not an import.

with all due respect mav, i think most of us are referring to econocrapboxes when we say "import". maybe its right, maybe its wrong, but nevertheless its what we mean.

i also think that the majority of the members here can recognize a real threat from an import when they came upon one. i know out there somewhere there are plenty of ppl who make their imports fast w/o ricing them. and i give them their repsect. when the time calls for it. this thread is for laughing at ricer crapboxes that think they're fast but really arent. its not about the GT-R or the Civic Type R etc.

trust me, i know those cars can be pretty fast.

but c'mon dude, whats wrong with a bit of fun on our part, of teasing those stupid ricers? they apparently get fun from bulding them n we get our jollies from laughing at them. whats wrong with that?

please dont take offense cuz i didnt mean it that way.

My mom has a 96 Explorer with a 5.0 in it and she left a honda setting one day. Its was funny as crap because the guy thought he was all big and bad and when we left the light his face was priceless!!!! We were turning 5500 rpm and there was 3 of us in the thing. Talk about a pathic honda!!!
