Question Sound of Centrifugal versus a Roots or a Twin Screw?

Can someone describe to me the operating sound differences between a Centrifugal supercharger versus a Roots or a Twin Screw? I would be curious about noise levels at standard cruising, and then at WOT. I actually like a little bit of 'whine'.

Also, how do these various units affect the exhaust note, or do they?

Many thanks for any help, Dave F.

I think centrifugal blowers have more whine at idle and more of a turbine/rushing air noise at WOT. I don't think my ProCharger impacted exhaust note much, if any.

There has to be thousands of sound clips on the net.
If I were looking @ a blower car, I would be more concerned about how much power it made, not the sound !

Yeah thanks, I have been listening to some of them. I don't want some obnoxious noises every time I goose it a little, LOL. I do prefer the sound of PD blower, plus I like the extra torque down low, so I am definitely leaning towards PD.
