The Chevy's air bag deployed and was leaking vital fluids so I'm betting the Chevy's totaled. My insurance now says mine is not totaled.

Still fixing it.
Paid 300 for it.
Had supposedly bent valves. Turned out to be a bad coil causing all the misfires.
Still has a hesitation when starting in first gear. I think it is due to the aftermarket intake that is on it. I may try to find an OEM to put on it.
The ac is busted, but i have not looked into it.
Goal is to get it running smoothly with ac for under 600 total.. I CAN DO IT!! helps to have a full mechanic shop at my disposal.
Paid 300 for it.

six months ago my neighbor was mowing the yard of a fellow down the street every week .. the fellows wife left him for a trucker ..in less than 6 weeks the fellow had pined away and died .. the fellows sister asked my neighbor if he would like to buy the dead fellows truck .. of coarse my neighbor had no money but he could get the truck for 500 bucks !!! .. i gladly lent him the 500 .. well two months later the truck would not start .. my neighbor did everything he could to fix it but to no avail .. we kinda figured out it needed a new fuel pump .. of coarse once again he didn`t have the near 500 bucks to fix it .. so i being the good fellow i am offered to trade him my perfectly good operating 92 dodge which sat around all the time as i never used it for the jimmy and would allow him not to have to pay me back the 500 bucks as boot .. he jumped on it.. and i had the new fuel pump put in immediately ..we are both tickled to death .. so now this is more my daily beater than the toyota .. my former dodge is in the background at the neighbors ..
