Hey all, been reader of the forum for some time but never posted anything here. I just wanted to share you experience with a dealership out here in San Diego, CA.

I ordered a deluxe tourch red 05 in Feb. at the time I asked the dealership if they would honor my best friends X plan, he works for Hertz, which is owned by ford. They said they would and I ordered my car. Needless to say I sure you can figure out what happened.

I didn't get an 05 it was re-ordered as an 06 and now the dealership says that they won't honor the X plan at all. I have been pretty patient since feb. Funny thing is that I new more about what was going on with the car than the dealership. They never called to update me on the order. In fact I had to call them and tell them I found out from Ford Customer service that my car didn't make the 05 cut off date.

It has been a very big disappointment for me, so much so that I have decided to tell the dealership to take the car and shove it. For those from San Diego in here that are thinking of ordering or buying a new mustang make sure you avoid Mossy Ford in San Diego. They don't give a lick about the customer. Thanks guys for listening to me vent.

Interestingly enough, quite a few San Giego are people have bought Mustangs from Teri (sp) at Mossy Ford and strongly recommended both her and the dealership. I wonder fi she's still there if she could help you. It's worth a call.

At this point I am so sour on my dealing with them that I have given up trying to get a GT. I will wait a couple of years and try again somewere else were they aren't marking them up 3 grand and will honor employee discount plans. Thanks for the advice tho.

Hrm, I'm going through Teri as well, and she claims that she'll be honoring the X-Plan deal due to me contacting her through the forums.

Hope I'm not getting set up.

I don't think I am either, but I did have one dealership do the 'ole bait and switch on me.

"Sure we do X-Plan!"

I walk in the door.

"I'm sorry, we can't do X-Plan. Also, we need you to pay 2k over MSRP."

DON'T USE SWANSON FORD FOR A VEHICLE PURCHASE.

Hey CaliRob! I sent this to your PM box too, but just to make sure you see it, I'm posting here too. Teri at Mossy wants to help you:

"Hey Ryan, Will you PLEASE do me a big favor? I'm having trouble posting (not sure why), but PLEASE post a message to "CaliRob" & give him my e-mail address. I want to find out who's he was working with. I'll see what i can do w/his Xplan. Problem is if his previous sales person gets upset. "K"? I really appreciate letting me know about this!
Your friend, Teri"

Hey Everyone, especially Cali Rob- I'm sorry you were mistreated at Mossy. I understand if you no longer want to work with our store after your bad experience, but... Please let me know who assisted you. As I'm sure you know, there are 2 shifts = 2 managers each shift with their own teams of salespeople. I'm guessing you worked with the Managers from my opposite shift. They get upset about all the Mustang orders I recieve & deliver through the Mustang Clubs. Their side doesn't have anyone who's active in the clubs as I am, therefore when someone comes in wanting Xplan they refuse. I have shown Mr Mossy the different Mustang club sites and all the excitement for the "Love of our Ponies" that we all share. He realizes the benefits of keeping our local Mustang Enthusiasts happy and has given 'me' permission to order & deliver the 06 Mustangs at X plan to Mustang Club Members Only! If there's anything I can do to help....please let me know, Teri temeyosa
