Running pony image

Has anyone had problems with the Mustang image that projects on the ground being distorted? Mine looks like it's got "spikes " all over it. I thought it was dirt or something on the lens, but I've cleaned it and no change. Anyone have any idea how to fix this?

I believe your referring to the Mustang puddle projectors located in the side mirrors.. Unfortunately, I do not have a solution for you.. However you can either try doing a google or YouTube search or contact your dealership's service department that may be able to diagnose/troubleshoot the issue for you.. Meanwhile, my apologies for not being able to provide the answers your looking for.. Perhaps others may be able to chime in who can.. Anyway, best of luck and also welcome aboard.

There is a thin film that contains the image being projected. It does not handle the heat of the lamp/LED and distorts over time. You can replace the lamps, but it happens again. I had mine replaced under warranty. Now they just look crappy.

I know there is a thread on here about that. Search the site. I believe the cause was moisture, but the only solution was replacement. Ford will do that if under warranty, otherwise you are probably on your own.
