A car with a giant spoiler, coffee can exhaust tips, neon lights, and absolutely NO power. Most people think if cars have any of those things they are rice but it's all about power. Like the 2000 Cobra R. Giant spoiler, tons o' power. A ricer is the person that does this stuff to the car.

Take everything you see on that Civic (by the way, those 92-95 Civics are only Hondas I like) and put it on early 1990s Thunderbird.

Is that ricer?

Here is Thunderbird that one guy from other discussion borad driver and looks like that. He doesn't think it looks like rice.

'96 T-Bird, 4.6L V8 205 hp. 205 hp from v8 engine ain't that much.

dont think the bird is rice. w/o the decals car doesnt look bad. i dont mind decals that much as long as they help the look of the car. but the mustang in theback window of the fireturd was too funny. my favorites are the ones driving v-6 camaros w/ japanese motorsport stickers on the sides of the car. i see one in richmond all the time. ill get a pic next time

WOW!!! THAT IS THE BEST LOOKING T-BIRD I HAVE EVER SEEN!!!

No it's not rice, its actually more pimped. For one thing, it does not have a big shopping cart-handle wing, the body kit looks clean (compared to that civic w/ the vents), doesn't have a big fart can sticking out the back (you can actually see the two duals, but turned down), and also...ITS V8 POWERED!

Only thing I don't like are the wheels. I've seen t-birds with cobra rims on them and they look real good.

Not exactly. To me pimped is having a car that has . Its the kind of car you want to be cruisin around in cuz it looks cool and attracts attention. When thinking in this term I can conjure images of a lowrider 64 Impala that is all show (check out some cars here on the West Coast to see what I'm talkin about). Rice on the other hand is taking a POS econobox car (i.e. Neon, Civic, etc) and blining it out and adding performance parts to try and make it look like a race car. It tries to look fast, but in the end it has no real horsepower. Earlier you asked if a 1200hp Supra was rice, but it really isn't, its just a really fast import. There is also a difference between this and rice because a car like the Supra, Skyline, or NSX are Japanese supercars that are built for speed and handle-well. For instance, a NSX can be compared to say a Z06 Corvette, not exactly the same performance wise, but they fall into the same category as being sports cars. A four-door Civic or Neon, however, is not in the same category, since they are originally economical passenger cars that don't handle or perform like a sports car. When you add the bling factor to these cars...then thats when you get rice.

You see rice is just when you try to make a car look fast by putting a huge wing on a Civic and a body kit. It has no concern for performance. Pimped is not always about performance, it is just having a cool ride that garners attention.
