I think this is sick but I'm a fifty year old that remembers drooling over the first mustangs when I was in middle school.

I even went to great lengths to put old school Cragars on my Vert.

This is like punk music, and rap, someone has to like it but?????????????

not me.

What do you think?

I don't get it myself... Times change, people change.

Look at all the cheezy fads with cars over the years. (don't get mad at me if you like any of these trends)

-Custom Vans
-Dune Buggies
-Pro Street Musclecars
-Gold Flake and Fender Flares
-Mini Trucks

The list goes on and on....

I guess what I am trying to say is this is the latest fad... the sooner it dies the better in my book.

I am young enough that my first memories of classic Mustangs were clapped-out cars on dealer lots and driving around in primer, but I know well enough that I wouldn't mess with tradition.

Believe me, its not you. Thats simply insane....IMO. I am 30 by the way and have never liked such thing. Just way over board. I always wonder why and how in the world could the owner look at this and say "Its beautiful"! Its like a fat ugly naked woman looking in the mirror and saying " I look so beautiful today"! LOL

The other thing I dont understand is how some of these guys go to these weekend street shows where there are mostly classic cars. I am talking real cars from the 50's - 70's and then you have these mostly youngsters in a riced out car like this one they pop that 4-6 cylinder hood open and act like their plastic car is the bomb. I walk by these guys and just grin at them without giving their cars 1 glance.

Whats the deal? Different generation? Do I sound like an old fart? Is it me or what? I just dont get it.

I don't think it's just the different generation. I just turned 19 and I personally think that that is one of the ugliest stangs I've seen. I can't stand ricers and I have never even seen one I thought looked even semi-good. IMO the "ugly fad" really started with the movie the Fast and Furious. I mean it may have been around before then, but it really took off with all these stupid punks trying to emulate the movie. But that's just my $0.02.

:hiding: whats wrong with rap & fender flares? personally I'm in the middle, I love muscle cars & classics, but I can respect and see some beauty in the tuner cars. As for the Mustang pictured, I like the wheels, tint, & body kit... the rest is fugly though... does anyone else feel like their stuck in the middle??

Autotooner:

Sounds like you need to kick that closet open and coooome on out!!!! LMAO I am seriously joking. Please no offense.

It really boils down to personal preference. I am sure that these guys that rice out there cars probably look at a car like mine and think its soooo boring. Just a matter of taste.

 yeah i like all cars, no matter, even a beater... though some things I wouldn't add to a car, I can respect someone who likes that sort of thing & puts it on their car, the only thing I can't stand is people who pretend their v6 is a gt via fake badges... I see it as disrespectful to the people who spend the extra $$$ to get a GT

EDIT: 04Stang05 do you go to WVU?

I am a little more picky in the taste of my cars as I dont like to over do it and I like to keep it original as possible. Now thats just me. When it comes to the badges I would never put a cobra badge on my GT however, it does not bother me when others may do such or if a V6 guys puts GT badge on his car. I know this may not make sense but thats my feeling on it.

That Mustang would look better if it hit a brick wall going 100MPH.

Oh yea... and an 18 wheeler behind it right? Because that rear has got to go as well.
