As a longtime guest here at TheMustangSource.com I've noticed every once and awhile someone will post an insurance related question. As an insurance agent I felt compelled to offer my guidance and experience. If you have insurance related question please feel free to email it to me, and I will be more than happy to help.

P.S.
I am licensed only in the State of Michigan, thus any questions pertaining to insurance outside the State of Michigan, I'm afraid I cannot help.

Thanks.

My kid got his new Focus hit in a parking garage. They're saying his full $500 deductible is applied. It was a hit & run so he has to fork over the full amount. Is this right?

Rickster,
He is to pay the deductible only if he carries Standard or Basic Collision coverage. If he carries Broad Collision coverage all Not At Fault accident deductibles are waived. If you would like, I would be more than happy to take a look at his policy and tell him what his coverage's are.

Hope this helps.

Do you know of a website where I would get an estimate on how much I would have to pay for a 1986 GT 5.0? 22 years old, driving for almost 5 years with no accidents or tickets. Good student, becoming a teacher, Ca. resident

To provide yourself with accurate insurance you need human involvement. Call 2 or 3 insurance companies and compare coverage's and rates. A web quote does not know what your financial needs and obligations are and cannot educate you on what your coverage will protect against or why you need it. You are much better off dealing with an agent instead of a web site.

Let me know how it goes.
