Question A question about ordering a new Mustang

I wanting to buy a new mustang and I want it certain way. I want a 2014 V6 Convertible, Ingot Silver, Tech Package, appearance package, black cloth seats, 6-speed, and the GT or track wheels on it. Can I order it from the factory that way? I am sure I will not be able to find one on the lot.

Can you even get a convertable with the track package?

If it takes awhile to be built it so no problem. However, how long would it take for it to build on average?

Has anyone ordered a Mustang before? What is the process? Can I even get the options I am asking about on standard convertible?

You could start by going to truecar.com. There you can configure it the way you want it, as long as the things you want are available separately. They will also give you a target price that is pretty aggressive. I used them when I was preparing to order my 2014 convertible. It took 52 days from order to delivery.

For the v6 there's is a performance package. I assume that's what your talking about. No track pack for v6. And you can't have it built with gt wheels. But everything else will work. Expect about 2 months

Actually just a little bit lower. I believe there is some sort of relationship between truecar.com and SOME dealers where they have to meet or beat the target price. There was no haggling. As soon as I showed my salesman my truecar.com quote he said, "Oh, truecar, no problem."

www.ford.com, build/price page. It will show you what you can and can't have, then you will have a better idea of what you want to order. The order process is easy. Just haggle your best price on what you want, the dealer will take care of ordering the car, and then a short six to eight weeks latter your car will arrive. Good luck.

My car took under 6 weeks from date of order to delivery. Track Pack is only on the GT, not the v6. GT Convertible can have the Brembo brake package, but not the rest of the TP stuff like 3.73 gears and a Torsen diff.

The way Ford sets up their packaging can make one crazy. You can get this, if you get that, but you can't have that if you get this....
