Put in the order for a 2021 Mach 1
Hi guys,
I am excited I just put in my order through my dealer for a 2021 Mach 1 Premium, Fighter Jet Gray, 6 speed, Mach 1 Handling package and Elite Package.
I am really going to miss my 2014 its been an awesome car. With the high trade in values right now makes sense to trade it in or sell it private.
Anyways, I really want to supercharge the Mach1 waiting on Roush to come up with the kit for the Mach 1, I do want to keep my warranty. Any of you guys running the Roush supercharger kit on the gen 3 motors? How you like it?
Reasoning for this is
a) Dont want the MT82 or another GT (Especially if I want to boost)
b) GT350 is especial but this will be my daily driver don't want to daily drive a GT350
c) This has more comforts than the GT350 for a daily driver.
d) LOVE the way the Fighter Jet Gray looks and the Mach1 name.
Thanks

Very cool! ...and very expensive. I hope the 'chip' shortage doesn't affect your delivery too much. Did they give you any idea when it might arrive or is too soon??

The new Mach I is one car I would consider swapping my 2014 for. It is the perfect blend of the GT350 & the PPII S550. I would love to have a GT350 or a GT350R. Just not sure of the future dependability and the expense of repairs. The Coyote motor is very dependable. The Voodoo is awesome, but the reliability of that engine is suspect. Would love to get away for the MT82, but still want a manual. The TREMEC seems to be rock solid and pretty much bullet proof. Keep us updated on your order, and any future mods. I am very interested in where you take this.
Congrats and I hope the car comes in soon. I think you have made a very good upgrade choice!

All I can say is, good luck.
I placed an order for an Iconic Silver Mach 1 Premium with the handling package and no other options on March 19. Ford confirmed receipt on March 22 and I had a VIN a few days later.
Since then I have received 11 EMAILS from Ford delaying my production date a few weeks at a time. Originally it was May and now it's back to August 23. Even with Flat Rock being shut down for 7 weeks, it's ridiculous. I'm on Mustang6G and am seeing so many people post about orders they placed after me that are already in production.
Ford Customer Service is useless, Ford Marketing is where you call to check your order status if you don't want to talk to your dealer but they just say call your dealer. And if your dealer is not motivated (like mine), you are on your own.
It has been an incredibly frustrating experience. I sold my 2018 GT in May expecting to get the Mach 1 shortly afterwards and it's looking like I'll be without a Mustang all summer.
To all of you who place factory orders, I hope you are one of the lucky ones whose order seems to get passed right through.

Thanks, they told me 3-4 Months. Usually earlier but at the moment with the chip shortage it is taking a little longer. Not too bad, gives me time to try to sell my car private.

Congratulations but get ready to wait.
I placed an order for an Iconic Silver Mach 1 premium with Tremec and handling package on March 22, and have gotten 11 (not an exaggeration) emails from Ford since then delaying my production date a few weeks at a time from May 3 to now August 23. No end in sight, and it's maddening.
When your dealer placed the order with Ford, an order priority code of 19 is automatically assigned. Your dealer can adjust it as high as 10, meaning if two cars need scheduled for production, a 10 gets scheduled before an 11. Ford regional scheduling reps have the ability to change the priority to as high as 01, the highest possible priority, which means Ford is supposed to basically build your car immediately. About 10 days ago my priority code was changed to 01. A few days after that I got an email delaying production from August 6 to August 23 - it makes no sense. And don't forget, anywhere from 2-6 weeks from the production date till it actually arrives at your dealer.
Good luck!

I did the same thing this weekend; fighter jet grey, manual, elite package. Did not do the handling package as I intend to drive it fairly often. Something tells me it’ll eat those tires pretty quick. Also doing the same… taking the build time to sell my 97 cobra. Did you know they’re offering a “Mach 1 track attack” at Charlotte motor speedway, gotta do it/use it within one year of pick up. I’m as excited about that as I am the car 😁

Ford accepted my order from the dealer on March 22 for a Mach 1 premium 6sp with the handling package, but after 11 emails with estimated production dates delays, my current production date estimate isn’t until August 16.

I never got to do my track attack with my Boss purchase. It was held out in Utah and I just never pulled the trigger.
