Project car sources

Looking to acquire a 1967 fastback as a restoration project. Any ideas on the best places to look? I've been searching craigslist and eBay. Any advice or input would be great Thanks!

+1

Eventually one will pop up locally in the right condition and price range. I was amazed that asking prices went from $3k for a pile of rust to $100+k for super restomods, but there was nothing in the $15-25k sweet spot (at least for me) where it was still intact, but needed some work I could tackle myself.

It's a beautiful car, and if it's what you want, then don't settle for a coupe if you really want a FB. I searched, $ in hand for about 2 yrs before mine showed up for sale locally. I passed up several really nice coupes bc I knew I'd still be left wanting.

I used Craigslist and eBay to price and locate. There is also rideslist.com if they kept it working. It's run by a 68 mustang owner incidentally. RL looks across craigslist areas for specific make/model/yr/keyword. So if I enter "Denver," it will give results for Den, Boulder, Longmont, COS, etc. way easier than changing cities in CL.

Last summer, I eventually found my 67 FB on eBay. I created an account to get in touch with the seller, but we actually completed the transaction without the auction. Good luck, and let us know how it goes! And what cars you're looking into!

I'm not sure where your located, but if your in the southeastern area keep a check at www.morrisonmotorco.com. I grew up with these guys, and have done much business with them. Good luck.

That's a little far, but you can look at some nice cars.
