Not sure how Luis' and George's factory nav works, but the one in the Highlander is a PITA to navigate with. I always find myself busting out my trusty Garmin handheld for all my navigational needs.
I found the factory nav to be very easy to use, I find myself using it more and I wish I had a nav in my other cars.

Introducing: Dynolicious

Dynolicious is the first automotive performance meter available for the iPhone and iPod Touch. Dynolicious uses the hardware built-in to your iPhone to measure the performance characteristics of your vehicle. No external wires or equipment is necessary, simply slip the iPhone into a cradle or cupholder and go!
Some of the performance metrics Dynolicious can measure:
  • 0-60 Acceleration
  • 1/4 Mile Elapsed Time
  • Lateral G's
  • Horsepower
Unlike other accelerometer-based performance meters, Dynolicious uses the advanced data-handling and display capabilities of the iPhone to make the most of your performance testing. Dynolicious maintains a history of test runs, showing you averages and trends in your results. Dynolicious also allows you to enter modifications performed to your vehicle, and will instantly show before-and-after results to easily identify gains or losses.
Wow that looks interesting! might have to try it out

Check out Los Alamitos, Rossmore and Seal Beach nice communities and affordable. The closer you get to the water the more $ it will cost you in most situations. I use to work in Los Alamitos it's your typical American town I'd avoid Hawaiian Gardens, Garden Grove too many "Hoe's" walking around

The OC Fair is a good time it's a big event what was the beer garden like? Pict's? I'm sure Bill will post some later this morning. I think the car event Cruising for a Cure happens down there we should check it out.

Congrats !!

Jed's right, Rossmore, Seal Beach, Los Al are great places. North of Anaheim is Brea, Fullerton, Yorba Linda, Placentia. Towards the south Costa Mesa and Newport Beach $$$$... Avoid if you can, Santa Ana, Garbage Grove, Stanton, Some of Orange...
I guess it depends on what part of Anaheim you'll be at. The drive from MV to Anaheim might be OK you'll be going in the opposite direction of the traffic. The 5 sucks around there unless you're carpooling.

GREAT Catch Leo. It looks a lot like the "Frakentensioner" that ST makes at about 100 bucks less. That might be on immediate list. I am entirely afraid to power shift at all due to the tensioner.

Jed
Los Al is a great place. My boss used to live there and we'd play raquetball at the rossmore fitness place. It's just up the street from Sunset Ford.... There used to be a place called Bayou St John's on Main in Seal Beach, man that was some good Cajun food. Was always too chicken to try the Alligator.... The blackened Prime Rib was outta-site ! Great times.

Nav stuff... Interesting to hear the problems with the factory nav. My buddy has nav in his Pontiac Vibe that works great as well as the nav that is in a friends Jeep Commander. Put together with George/Luis's feedback I assumed that the factory nav was just the way to go... guess it depends.

LEO

so I was thinking of getting a new football jersey...

I'm thinking of either a Vikings or Bears jersey

The place is just off the 5 and Magnolia....aditional suggestions are totally appreceated.

Okay, The great apartment search is on.

Oh BTW, Allegator tastes a lot like chicken.....and I didn't find it to be all that great....I'd rather have Chicken.

No 'Beer Garden' per say, but there were plenty of beer booths all over the place.

Traffic going to the fair was unfrigginbelievable. All the main gates for parking were closed!
We had to park at a High School 2 blocks from the event; at least it was free.

Once inside, all was cool. Met up with my niece Brittany, her b/f and lil' sis. Partied hard til we had to go at around 10:30.

just entering the 'green' gate

no we didn't

Your welcome.

Bill, non sports guys skip this post.

About that......Honestly because of the way the managements handled the whole Favre thing I kind of hope he does go to either of those teams. Preferably the Vikes and then kicks the Packers asses on MNF the first game of the season in Lambeau. Then to pour salt in the wound have Aaron Rodgers break his leg and be out the rest of the season.

Best case scenario for me though is for the GM to put his ego aside and let Favre come back and play for the Pack. Only person upset about the would be Aaron Rodgers but F-Him.
